Three methods of resistor markings are predominant -
color coding,
numerical value
coding and three-digit
symbol coding.
MIL-PRF-55342 assigns part numbers using alpha-numeric
coding. Tolerance, temperature, package style and failure
rate are integrated into some numbering schemes.
